MANILA, PHILIPPINES — The biggest cricket tournament every played in the Philippines starts on Saturday. Teams from Indonesia, Japan and South Korea will join hosts Philippines to compete in the ICC (International Cricket Council) World Cup Cricket qualifier event at Friendship Oval, Emilio Aguinaldo College, Dasmariñas, Cavite from 1−7 December.
The Philippine Cricket Association (PCA) is pleased to invite members of the media to an official training session at Friendship Oval on Friday 30 November from 9:15 am–12:00 pm. This is the final training session before the event begins on Saturday.
All four national teams – captains, players and coaches – will train in the cricket nets and on the oval. The Philippine team starts batting and bowling training from 9:30 am–10:30 am, and then fielding training from 10:30 am–11:30 am.
WHERE: Friendship Oval, Emilio Aguinaldo College, Dasmariñas, Cavite
WHEN: Friday 30 November from 9:15 am–12:00 pm.
ACCESS: Journalists, photographers and cameramen will have access to players and officials, and all parts of the venue.
